Update to the Motor Carrier Industry

In accordance with the Assembly Bill 5 (AB 5) court ruling, we incorporated the ABC test to determine the employment status of policyholders throughout the motor carrier industry. As mandated by AB 5, we must concisely and consistently apply the ABC test to new and renewal business with inception dates of July 1, 2024 and beyond. Some applicants may qualify for an exemption, in which case we will apply the Borello test.

These changes will be shared with all policyholders at least 60 days prior to their policy renewal date.

Additionally, we require a supplemental questionnaire. This information helps us price the risk accordingly. Thank you for helping us obtain completed questionnaires from your clients.
