Julie Jenkinson joined the Executive Committee in 2026 and oversees Safety and Health Services, Premium Audit, Policy Service Center, and Billing Operations. Julie began her State Fund career as a claims adjuster in 1984 and held several key leadership roles in claims, policy services, and support departments over the next 20 years. She served as Communications Director before joining the executive committee as Executive Vice President of Corporate Claims in 2010.
Julie then spent ten years as the Chief Operating Officer for Montana State Fund where she led all policy and claims staff, as well as the units supporting insurance operations. She drove modernization initiatives and organizational transformation including a consolidated policy servicing platform, new customer portals, and claims initiatives that significantly reduced claims expenses for Montana businesses.
She rejoined California’s State Fund in 2024 to lead the consolidation and transformation of the Policy Service Center and Billing Operations—improving the customer experience and introducing AI-enabled self-service technologies to advance operational efficiency and digital adoption. In 2025, she also took on responsibility for Safety and Health Services.
In a career marked by innovation and leadership, Julie is known for guiding teams through periods of organizational transition, mentoring emerging leaders, and strengthening cross‑department collaboration. Julie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Business Administration from California State University, San Bernardino.
