Industrial Hygiene Professionals

Reducing the Risk of Occupational Disease

Chemicals, biological substances, physical agents, and other environmental hazards at the worksite may pose a risk of occupational disease.  State Fund's industrial hygiene staff works with policyholders to help reduce this risk to employees through the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of environmental hazards.

Our professional Industrial Hygiene staff offers services that may include consultation, research and field surveys, laboratory services, respirator fit testing, noise-level measurements and ventilation assessments.

State Fund’s industrial hygiene services include:

  • Management consultations to discuss occupational health concerns, the control of health hazards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Onsite evaluations to identify potential health hazards from chemicals, biological substances, physical agents, and other environmental hazards.
  • Air monitoring and other measurements using state-of-the-art equipment to assist in the evaluation of hazards and control measures.
  • Program development assistance for respiratory protection, confined spaces, regulated carcinogens, and other health-related issues.
  • Research and information services to provide current information on occupational health hazards.
  • Policyholder and employee training on a variety of topics.
