SALINAS --- State Compensation Insurance Fund and the Monterey County Farm Bureau have teamed up to offer a free safety seminar tackling heat illness prevention.
The event is on June 18 in Salinas.
Information presented during the seminar will help employers, supervisors, and trainers prevent heat illness among their workers.
Attendees will learn how to evaluate their current procedures for effectiveness and receive tips to improve their heat illness prevention programs. Additional topics include environmental and personal risk factors and how to comply with heat illness standards.
Registration and continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. The presentation ends at noon.
The seminar takes place at the UC Cooperative Agricultural Center, 1432 Abbott Street.
