San Francisco Business Times Names State Fund’s Jan Frank as One of Bay Area’s Most Influential Women

June 17, 2008

The San Francisco Business Times recently recognized State Fund President and CEO Janet Frank as one of the most influential women in the Bay Area.  During a recent celebratory awards banquet at the San Francisco Hilton, attended by hundreds of business leaders from throughout the Bay Area, Publisher Mary Huss presented Jan with a plaque naming her as one of the Most Influential Women in Government and Nonprofits.

Jan’s recognition was published in the April 11, 2008 print edition of the San Francisco Business Times.   Since assuming the position as State Fund’s President and CEO last fall, Jan has developed plans for launching a major reorganization of State Fund’s field operations designed to further enhance State Fund’s customer focus and service position for the next century of service to California’s employers.  Jan has also worked closely with the California Legislature on important reform legislation to strengthen State Fund’s corporate governance.

The publisher said the award was designed to honor “women who are navigating the corporate lattice networks that are replacing more traditional career ladders.”  Jan was included among “a who’s who of outstanding women executives who are making a difference in the organizations they lead, in their industries, and in their communities,” Huss said.
