Injury Summary Posting Reminder

State Fund wants brokers to remember that by now their clients must have posted Cal/OSHA Form 300A, the Annual Summary of Work-Related Injury and Illnesses. Form 300A is a summary of Cal/OSHA Form 300, which logs work-related injuries and illnesses for the previous year.

The summary must be displayed in a conspicuous location where notices to employees are customarily posted. A copy of the summary must also be made available to employees who move from worksite to worksite and employees who do not report to any fixed establishment on a regular basis.

California law requires employers to post this summary for a three-month period between February 1st, and April 30th. There are some exceptions for small employers and certain industries. These can be found by clicking on the links below. At the end of the three-month period, the summary should be taken down and kept on file for a period of five years following the year to which it pertains.

The link to the regulation is www.dir.ca.gov/T8/ch7sb1a2.html. Information, required forms, and additional resources can be found at www.caloshareu.com/oshalog300/html/.
