Supplemental Job Displacement Benefits (SJDB)

Benefits are Available if You are Unable to Return to Your Job

For injuries on or after January 1, 2004:
You may be eligible for a non-transferable voucher for education-related costs payable to a state-approved school. This benefit is called a Supplemental Job Displacement Benefit (SJDB).

You may qualify for a SJDB if each of the following is met:

Your injury results in permanent disability.
You are unable to return to work within 60 days after the last payment of temporary disability.
Your employer does not offer modified or alternative work.

The voucher can range from $4,000 to $10,000 depending on the level of your permanent disability. The following table shows the different ranges.

Permanent Disability Level	SJDB Voucher Amount
Less than 15%	Up to $4,000
15% to 25%	Up to $6,000
26% to 49%	Up to $8,000
50% to 99%	Up to $10,000
