Shaun Coyne has served as Chief Information Officer since September 2009.
Prior to joining State Fund, Coyne served for six years as vice president and CIO of Toyota Financial Services in Torrance, California
He also served as a vice president and chief technical officer of General Electric, overseeing systems development for retail financial services, and capital real estate. He spent four years in Tokyo heading up systems for GE's Capital Global Consumer Finance.
Coyne also held executive systems positions with Chase Manhattan Bank and Citicorp/Citibank.
He earned his BS in computer information systems and marketing from Manhattan College and earned prestigious certifications in Six Sigma process management and the Kaizen method of value-based management.
The CIO is responsible for establishing and directing the long-term goals, policies, and procedures for State Fund’s information technology, as well as determining the organization’s long-term systems needs and hardware acquisitions to accomplish State Fund’s business objectives.
