Chief Operating Officer Harrison Jerome was appointed to the Executive Committee in 2007.
Jerome joined State Fund in 1981 as an underwriter in the Fresno District Office. The following year he transferred to sales. In 1985 he became a loss control consultant and four years later became the Assistant Claims Manager for the Fresno office. In addition to his management duties, Jerome served as the office’s fraud liaison. Working closely with the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office, Jerome played a key role in State Fund’s first fraud conviction in Fresno County.
In 1996 Jerome was promoted to Field Services Manager, and in 2001 advanced to Manager of State Fund’s Claims Processing Center.
Jerome received his bachelor of arts degree in economics from California State University, Fresno.
The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the oversight of all operational aspects of the organization to ensure that State Fund has the proper operational controls, and administrative and reporting procedures needed to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
