Darlyn Regan was appointed as a member of the Executive Committee in January 2013 as added responsibility to her role of Executive Vice President of Field Operations. She was promoted to the Executive Vice President of Field Operations position in January 2011, and in that role was responsible for oversight of Regional Field Operations, Safety and Health Services, Field Triage and Segmentation, field implementation of Timely and Accurate Premium Payment (TAPP) initiatives, and oversight/implementation of Underwriting 2013 Simplification.
Darlyn began her State Fund career in 1988 as a claims adjuster for the Santa Ana office. In that position she quickly established herself as a top producer, earning accolades for her precise, proactive case management and achieving recognition as Santa Ana’s “Adjuster of the Year.” In 1991 Darlyn transferred her success to the Sales Department, where she secured a nomination for “Rookie of the Year” in 1992.
An appointment to Underwriting Manager in 1995 advanced Darlyn to Santa Ana’s management team. Again she excelled, despite the numerous and unprecedented challenges of a difficult market and the complex conversion to open rating. During this stint she also served as Santa Ana’s fraud liaison and broker contact.
In 2001 she joined the Los Angeles office as Field Services Auditing Manager, and in 2002 transitioned to Corporate Underwriting by establishing and managing the Special Risks Underwriting Unit.
In 2006 Darlyn promoted to Program Manager of the Fraud Investigation Program, where she again raised the bar in her two years at the helm. In this role she supervised the installation of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) case-management system and extended its access to fraud liaisons. She also maintained a cooperative and responsive relationship with auditors from the California Department of Insurance (CDI) and represented State Fund on CDI’s Fraud Assessment Commission.
In February 2009, Darlyn was promoted as the Regional Vice President of Inland Empire/San Diego. She received her Master’s of Science in May 2010. With the consolidation of regions in July 2010, she was chosen to lead Field Operations Project Management. Most recently, the Executive Committee tapped Darlyn to assume the Executive oversight role for the State Fund Underwriting 2013 simplification effort.
The Executive Vice President of Field Operations has oversight of Regional Field Operations, Safety and Health Services, field Triage and Segmentation, field implementation of Timely and Accurate Premium Payment (TAPP) initiatives, and oversight/implementation of Underwriting 2013 Simplification.
