Message from the President

Dear Fellow Employees,

“Honesty, integrity, accountability, flexibility, and collaboration” are values we share as State Fund employees.

The Code of Conduct (Code) gives us a framework to put our values in action. It articulates and promotes State Fund’s values and expectations for behavior by presenting clear, written standards. To comply with the laws, rules, and regulations that govern our business, we first need to understand how they apply to our specific roles.

The Code is a living document. Use it as a reference guide in your everyday decision making and understand you won’t be alone. All levels of the organization — from the Board of Directors, Officers, Executive Committee members, managers, and supervisors to rank and file employees — will be joining you.

Because the Code depends on employees exercising their power to prevent wrongdoing, you have my word that those making reports in good faith will be protected against retaliation, whether or not the reported activity proves to be a violation.  No business goal of any kind is ever justified by deviating from State Fund’s ethical standards.

State Fund’s success depends on the trust and confidence we earn from our customers as well as each other. The Code helps us avoid real and apparent conflicts of interest and guides us in setting good examples of public service.

Sincerely,

Tom Rowe
President & CEO
